Late Model

 

Tires - Any brand. Open front. AR MD56, Hoosier 1600 (must be shoulder plated on rear).

Tires must punch 58 before qualifying. After the race must punch 50. No chemical treating of tires. Track will take rubber samples at random.

 

All Lucas body rules apply.

Wheel Base - 103" minimum.

 

Wheels - Any aluminum racing wheel, 14" maximum width – no carbon fiber. 

Racing Fuel Cell - with minimum of two 2' wide steel straps. 

Fuel - Gasoline or E-85 only. No Alcohol, Nitrous Oxide, or any other type of fuel allowed. 

Transmission - Open. 

Rear End - Open. 

Engine Set-back - 6 inches plus/minus 1 inch.

 

ENGINE #1 - 2300 LBS

 

Maximum 362 cubic inches.

This engine combination is permitted to run an AR 48 or Hoosier 1350 tire on the left rear only.

Dome pistons allowed.

Wet or dry sump oil systems allowed.

Stud or shaft mount rockers allowed.

Any hydraulic, solid, or roller tappet camshaft allowed. 

Any point or electronic ignition.

One 4150 series 4-bbl. carburetor. 2" max carburetor spacer, any material.

Small block Chevy standard runner steel heads must be 23 degree design heads. No raised runner heads. May port, polish. May be angle cut. 

Steel Small block Ford – minimum valve angle is 20 degrees. Must use World casting #1-061 if running an aftermarket head. Heads may be ported. 

Steel small block Mopar - minimum valve angle is 18 degrees. Any aftermarket head. Heads may be ported.

BRODIX SPEC. ALUMINUM – SPEC, SAS Spec, or IMCA Spec. No modifications allowed.

All spec heads will be supplied with CNC bowl blend and intake port matching. No grinding or blending of CNC work is allowed.

No grinding or polishing of any kind is allowed ANYWHERE on the castings.

No use of any substance that may change or alter the shape or size of ports or combustion chambers is allowed.

A maximum valve size of 2.080" intakes and 1.600" exhausts will be allowed for all Spec heads.

Valve seats and guides are to remain as manufactured and in their cast positions.

Valve angles are to remain as manufactured. The original seat center locations as provided by the head manufacturer may not be altered.

No tapering or re-shaping of valve guides will be allowed.

Spec cylinder heads may not be angle milled.

Spec cylinder head serial numbers must remain on the head and may not be defaced or altered.

No welding or modifications are allowed to the original head castings except may have water cooling line installed between the middle exhaust on Chevy heads.

At any time, any head in question may be impounded to check cc, ports, and valve angle It is at track's discretion on legality of head.

No porting, No Polishing, No Shot Peening Allowed on any of the above heads.

May run Cnc / ported Brodix Track 1 or Spec must add 40lb in front of bellhousing. May run soft left rear (1350 or 48)

 

ENGINE #2 - 2400 LBS

 

Maximum 362 cubic inches

Block - Any steel block

Cranks - Any steel crank (no titanium).

This engine combination is permitted to run an AR 48 or Hoosier 1350 tire on the left rear only.

 

Engines over 362 cubic inches or for engines with over a 3.500" stroke crank must add 75 pounds. (2475 lbs.)

 

Rods - Any steel rod (no titanium). 

Pistons - Any piston allowed. 

Cam - Any camshaft allowed. 

Lifters - Any lifter allowed. 

Heads - Any 23 degree design, standard runner steel head for Chevy.

Cars running raised runner heads must run AR 56 or Hoosier 1600 tires on the rear (2400 lbs.)

Valves – Any valve allowed.

Valve springs/retainers/keepers – any type allowed. 

Rockers – Any rocker allowed.

Dry sump oil system allowed. 

Carburetor- One (1) four barrel allowed. 

Fuel – Gas or E-85 only (no alcohol or nitrous oxide). 

Ignition system – any type allowed.

 

ENGINE #3 - 2300 LBS

 

GM 604 Crate Engine - Must be as built by GM - NO MODIFICATIONS - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Factory seal is not required but must have all GM specs including cam, bore, stroke, heads, rocker arms, etc. Protested engines will be impounded and checked using any and all resources available to the track. Track reserves the right to impound crate engines for further inspection at any time.

Must run an 1600 Right Rear, AR 56. 1350 left rear. May run a 12 inch spoiler.

 

ENGINE #4 - 2350 LBS   (CT525)

 

GM 525 Crate Engine - Must be as built by GM - Sealed by certified builder.

Factory seal is required. Protested engines will be impounded and checked using any and all resources available to the track. Track reserves the right to impound crate engines for further inspection at any time.

May run an AR 48, Crate 21 or Hoosier 1350 tire on the left rear only. Must run a 8 inch spoiler.

 

Track reserves the right to adjust these rules at any time to promote fairness of competition.

Any car in any division that wins 3 total events will be impounded by track officials. Track reserves the right to inspect tires, wheels, body, engine and anything deemed necessary to promote fairness.
